Deck Battens

The deck battens are ripped from the stem to frame 2.

I attached the deck battens at bow and stern with individual glue blocks

Interior Finish

Before installing the deck battens, I suggest finishing the interior. I first sealed the lowest parts of the sponsons -- the inside surface of the pads; up the sides to the sheer clamp; the tunnel sides; the transom -- with epoxy.

I then painted everything with 4 coats of exterior latex house paint. I coated the undersides and edges of the deck battens with epoxy as I installed them. I coated the under side of the decking with epoxy when that was installed.

However you do it, make sure everything is coated with something.
