Deck Sringer One more small trim job is required at the stem. A bit of the aft corner about 3/8" wide is cut down flush with the sheer clamp. |

Rip the stringer from the stem to frame 2, just as you did with the sponson keel. The under side of the stringer will have to be sliced off and beveled to come down flat on the sheer clamp, just like the chine. Position the stringer about 1/4" inboard of the edge of the sheer clamp. |

The deck stringer is similarly joined at the stern. Position the stringer 1/4" to 3/8" inboard of the edge of the sheer clamp. You will need to add a cleat here, as shown. However, I suggest you extend that cleat all the way to the transom. The sheer clamp will become very narrow here when it is beveled for the topside plywood. |
