Racing Powerboat Plans

If you are looking for a small, affordable racing boat that you can build and drive, you've come to the right place. Whether you want to race or just go fast, one of my designs may be just right for your high performance desires.

I am currently offering plans for two boats: the Dillon Mini tunnel boat, and the Dillon Mini Vee. Both designs have been successfully raced in the Mini GT and GT Pro racing classes.

Two ways to get your plans -- via email or postal mail. Please visit the Plans Page for the full story.

A new v-bottom, the Dillon Pro Vee, has been built, and I am racing it this summer in GT Pro. See the whole story HERE

My Sport C boat has been out for engine break-in and initial baby steps. More testing to come soon. Plans for the Pro Vee and Sport C should be available in the near future.

Mini GT

Drivers and boats needed for 2008!!
Mini GT is a very simple class using 25hp fishing motors with aluminum propellers to achieve speeds around 40 mph. It is simple and inexpensive, and a great way to get started in boat racing. More information HERE

GT Pro

New in 2007, GT Pro is a natural progression from Mini GT, but is also a great place to start racing. GTP steps up to 35hp motors, allows the use of hydraulic trim and has no limits on propellers. We look for this class to break the 50 mph mark in 2008. More information HERE

Sport C

Sport C is a national class which utilizes the two-cylinder, 40hp Nissan or Tohatsu to power tunnel boats approximately twelve feet long. These boats achieve speeds approaching 60 mph. At these speeds a tunnel boat can literally fly. More information HERE
